With the start of the school year getting closer I find myself wanting to hold on to the magic of summer. I sometimes log-on to Zillow to stalk beautiful homes for sale in chic beachy places, like the Hamptons for example. It really is the perfect pastime. So, I was delighted to learn about the new and beautiful Out East coffee table book filled with some of the most beautiful houses and gardens of the Hamptons. This book is the perfect antidote to the end of summer blues. Published by Vendome Press, Out East: House and Gardens of the Hamptons by Jennifer Ash Rudick and photography by Tria Giovan, is a beautiful coffee table book that celebrates this coveted locale and captures the lush gardens, cozy cottages and chic designed spaces. The book leads us in an insider's tour of more than 30 of The Hampton's most distinctive houses and gardens. Take a look!-
I have loved Kerri Rosenthal's art for years and recently discovered a beautiful feature on her home on Lonny that I just had to share. Her color palette is neutral to let her paintings stand-out and really pop alongside some fun accessories. Her black living room with contrasting white trim is my favorite room. Her love for interior design is evident in every corner. Kerri is not only an artist but also the creative Director for D2 Interieurs. See more of her inspired home here-
There is nothing I love more than huge windows like the ones above. HEAVEN! Let the light in. This fabulous home by Michael Haverland Architect in East Hampton, NY took my breath away. Aside from the fabulous windows the interior design is pretty spectacular, and well, the architecture is EVERYTHING. You must see the rest-
And the contrast to the facade-
What an interesting combination! Aside from the scale of the windows I have always loved a sunken living area. Everything about this house is enviable.
Loving the furniture? I just love the shape of the Kagan sofa. Here are some similar pieces-

Pillows are an easy and inexpensive way to freshen up, update or modernize a room. Pillows can add that unexpected pop of color, add character and they can even set the mood of a room. I'm sharing with you my eight favorite go-to spots for beautiful, custom pillows (you are welcome!)
Beautiful linens make me weak in the knees. I love having them and using them when company comes over. I enjoy building special memories around them and imagining how my daughter will use them when she is older. I already own beautiful placemats and tablecloths that my mom has passed down to me. I also have jaw-dropping bed linens from my grandmother and even my mother-in-law has started to give me some of her special things. I can say one thing- my daughter better like to entertain when she is older! I am amassing quite a collection.
I was so happy when I came to know about Hibiscus Linens and their beautiful hand-made work. And I was especially tickled by this mixed Valentine's set. These are traditional, modern and sweet - all in one! What a perfect Valentine's Day gift for your loved ones!
I'm so excited to have some new art in our family room. I switched a few pieces here and there to accommodate the new ones, and many some holes later I have everything where it looks best (fingers crossed I don't change my mind). You saw one of my new art pieces last week and now I want to present to you this black and white photograph titled "Checkered" by Alicja Brodowicz from UGallery. It fits so beautifully in my TV wall. I'm in love with this strong graphic visual, which adds the right amount of black and white. Let me give your a bit more perspective since this is such a close-up shot-
