Merry Christmas!!  Wishing you and your families a wonderful, festive, happy, restful and healthy Holiday.  Enjoy your loved ones and enjoy all the traditions that make this time of year so special.  We have been making cookies, setting pretty tables and cooking...getting ready for our big feast tonight!  That is our tree up there!  I'm loving it....this is the first time we don't have a real tree....and I have to say I'm so happy with it!  Well, there are amazing items on sale that are pretty fab...Like this super cute top that is on major sale.  I just got it for myself!

I love looking through Kelly Wearstler's portfolio of bold and luxurious spaces.  I jsut discovered this home she did and really could not love the wall stone any more!  The pink color, the way the stone is cut and the contrast of the dark vanity with gold accents is perfection.  Visit the rest of the apartment here.

I'm getting ready to travel today to a fun wedding in LA. The bride is so beautiful and so creative I can't wait to see everything she has planned. The most exciting part is that I will be wearing a dress I bought back in 2000 and it still fits!  It has been a while since I was in LA so I am very much looking forward to a weekend away with my husband and friends.  It's not so often we have weddings anymore so I'm excited about dressing up and dancing till your feet hurt.  And can you believe we have another wedding the week after?  Yeay!  I leave you with  this amazing faux fur jacket...so chic and adorable.

It's my birthday today! It's exciting but a little sad at the same time. Time seems to be going by faster and faster.  Little Miss A is so excited and I think she has like 8 presents for me, including a morning cuddling session before school starts.  Nothing beats that!  Here are a few things I have spotted around the web and would not be mad if I were gifted any of these items for my birthday.  I really wouldn't.  I love emoji's and I love linens....put them together and you have a fabulous collection of modern, apropos cocktail napkins by the super fabulous Kimberly Whitman. I have one of her Halo Home guest towels which I'm just in love with.

I could actually dedicate an entire post to those trifle cups....I'm in love with them and the price just makes them even more attractive (Uhm $25 for a set of 8?  is that even possible?).  I can just envision all the beautiful desserts I would make for my guests in these elegant and sparkly cups- chocolate mousse, meringue and strawberry trifle, you could even use them to serve the simplest of desserts- ice cream! They really are a great find and think they are an entertaining essential. Now, about ear cuffs...I am a classical girl at heart so I have not been warming up to ear cuffs, but these are making me have a change of heart.  These have the classical elements, pearls and diamonds in a beautiful setting.  I think I would wear it and feel kind of rebellious and cool at the same time. These match edgy with classic- a perfect combination for me!

I feel like dark blue is having it's moment in interior design. I have seen fabulous dark blue libraries, dining rooms, living rooms (mine for example) and maybe it's through all this exposure that I love it even more as time passes.  This blue credenza would look spectacular anywhere, but I can really see it in a monochromatic blue room.  I wish I could build furniture and make one for myself.  Can you imagine being able to build furniture?  Not Ikea hacks like the ones I have done, but real solid furniture. I should look into some workshop classes. Anyway, some other cute items I found around the web-

The thing in this post I am most excited about is this rainbow fur colored scarf...isn't it so fun!  It seems so cozy as well and perfect pop of color to the darker shorter days up ahead.  I'm noticing a few trends pop-up for fall and just want to make sure you are all aware of them.

What about those fabulous long-sleeved fringed gloves???!!  OMG #obsessed!  Not sure how they would look on me but I have to say I'm very intrigued.  This gold and black bucket has that classic vintage vibe and is only $ 55.  I think any bar would benefit from an ice bucket that pretty.  The pineapple trinket dish is an easy cute addition to any vignette around your house.

School starts next week for us which means I automatically switch to FALL mode even though it is still 105 degrees here in Dallas.  I really look forward to getting back into my routine. I am a creature of habit after all.  Fringe is still super hot this season.  I'm loving this fringed bag and the fringed booties.  They also come in black and brown.  And back to the bag.  I really love the surprising orange and yellow handle- it gives it personality.  I enjoy unexpected details like this.  Can you believe I just got my iPhone 6?  I'm always the last one of my friends to get the latest gadget.  So, I'm pretty excited about it.  Mostly because I know the camera is a lot better. This is the iPhone cover that is on my radar for it.  I think it's so cute and understated.  I hope to order it asap and let you all know how it is.

I have a list of some pretty and bright things for you today, which I hope you will love!  Those hot pink chairs are on sale at $319 for a set of two!  I have similar ones and let me tell you that I paid plenty more for them.  You can use them as accent chairs flanking a console and they would add so much interest with that awesome color.  They come in other colors too.  Now, let's please all focus on this fabulous print titled Seventh Heaven.  Minted's art collection keeps getting better and better and this print is proof of this.  It is by my sweet and talented friend Steph, whom you remember from this introduction I made of her fabulous etsy shop. I'm so excited now you can now own a print of her work.

Etsy has so many amazing vendors. I'm always amazed at the cool things I find there.  I'm kind of addicted to perusing the site and always end up spending more time than is good for me. Take for instance the cute tropical clutch (it's only 45!)?  and these cool neon horse hair tassel necklaces?  I'm so glad we are living through a revival of handmade items.  I find creativity is booming everywhere!!

Doesn't this board make you so happy?!  I'm loving all these colorful options to brighten your home and your outfit.  I love identifying that perfect piece of clothing that you know you won't take off all season long.  This dress (on sale!. There is low stock. They also have it with a different fabric here and in white here.) is one of these 'uniform' type pieces.  Cute and comfortable, it should be in everyone's closet.  The colorful necklace is so fun.  And this print is ideal on its own or as part of a gallery wall.

Well, school is officially out and we are officially on our Summer Break! Little Miss A could not be more thrilled and I have to say I'm looking forward to not having to rush out every morning.  But I'm a creature of habit and breaking the routine will be hard.  We have some great plans for the summer and a ton of small projects so my blogging will be slowing down probably starting next week.  You can always follow me on Instagram here, which I plan on being more active in during these summer months so I don't get separation anxiety from you! This post all started with the lovely Greg Natale designed home with the striped awning. Love.  And did you notice the greek key border in the pool?  Beautiful.  I have secretely always wanted black and white awnings like that. So chic.

On My Mind || A Rainbow of Colors

We have 2 and a half days of school left. Uhm, where did the time go? Of course, my daughter is thrilled and thinks summer means no reading and no work. But little does she know I have some summer workbooks in the closet.  I am excited for summer vacation it just arrived so quickly and feel like I have so much to do before school gets out.  Since it has been raining non-stop here I thought some bright things would cheer me everyone up.  Let's please start with the rainbow steak knives.  They are by Laguiole, a french company and they are fabulous.  I have a set and always look forward to using them when we make steaks.  They come in a pretty wooden box and at $62 they make an amazing gift (even for father's day! It's not too early to plan ahead).  The bright print is a limited edition and is kind of mesmerizing, don't you think?  The melamine plates are perfect for all your summer picnics. They are chic and shatter proof and they are $42 for a set of four.

The sandals with that bit of fringe in the front are so cute! And they come in blue as well.  But I think yellow is just killer. The brass plated coffee table is spectacular. And that white blouse which is on super sale is so fresh and perfect for everyday wear.  I think anything that has that high-low cut is so flattering. I really need to get it asap.  And the prettiest tulip skirt is on sale as well.  Take advantage!

Just a few pretty things for you to admire on this pretty Thursday.  We all need a hexagonal gold plate by our bedside tables.  The woven wall art is just spectacular.  I used to see these as pure dust collectors, but I have to say that this one particular store on etsy is doing such cool designs that I would be willing to vaccuum that baby a couple of times a week. I find them that pretty and interesting!  Also, that bench! So chic!

I have a pair of gold scissors like these and let me tell you they make cutting way more interesting.  Wrapping presents suddenly becomes the best pass time. Plus they make my desk look pretty killer.  Literally!  These are so heavy I could easily hurt someone. How can something so simple make life so much brighter right?  And I think they make a fun gift for that person that has everything. As you might have guessed my desk has a whole lot of gold.  I was so excited to find gold pencils at Target! That is pretty neat. The gold tassel sandals are chic and elegant. But that fringed bag!!!  Oh my!! It just screams summer is here and I'm so cool- all at the same time. Am I right?

I need to introduce you to MTA Bags the maker of that fun and chic purple clutch. They also make a  kelly green and a sunrise version.  I love the oversized cubes at the top.  What a standout right?!  I saw an amazing fringed bag on their instagram feed that is ready for pre-order and I'm kind of curious about it.  I am also dying for Carlos Mota's latest book about some of the homes he has photographed during his career.  It is supposed to be really beautiful.

I was really excited to find these white diamond panels to dress up some boring walls.  They are supposed to be easy to install (with pre-applied adhesives on the back).  I think the look is very cool and quite transformative. I loved how Kirsten styled her studio with them.  Has anyone used them before?  I'm intrigued.  Also, hurry!!  Furbish Studio has a Michelle Armas pop-up shop. From the pieces that are still available this and this are my favorites. But what about those yummy low-calorie skinny banana muffins?
