Wild Wall Colors
March 28, 2012Hello! I'm Jessica, a writer for Arcadian Lighting, a website and blog with a wonderful selection of affordable lighting fixtures and interior design inspirations every day! I'm delighted to be guest posting for Albertina and Julie today, and taking a cue from their recent post about springtime in New Orleans, with its vibrant colors and joyful atmosphere, I thought I'd share a collection of beautiful interiors with wild and brilliant wall colors. I hope you enjoy!
The contrasting wall colors in this home is just gorgeous, especially with the floral wallpaper in the foreground and the matte orange in the background. It's a lovely vibrant effect that creates depth and visual interest.
I love this bright and cheery living room, not only for its abundant natural light, but for the striking yellow wall color. A wrought iron ceiling light must provide a magical quality in the evenings.
The rich teal wall color in this living room is particularly regal and sophisticated with the elegant fireplace and the grand built-in bookshelves. The black and gold mirror is just stunning.
Sure to create a lively, Spring-inspired atmosphere, this vivid green wall color is fresh and exciting. Plenty of white accents help keep the wild wall color from becoming too overwhelming.
Red is such a great wall color for adding a rich, sophisticated feel to a room. The unique wall art and crystal inverted pendant light are great touches within the foyer, as well.
Bright orange walls and purple furniture create a striking atmosphere in this living room that would be perfect for extraordinary dinner parties. The leopard print upholstered chairs are unexpected, but fitting accents.
Purple and turquoise are quite a dreamy color combination, as this home illustrates. The butterfly wall decor and cascade of twinkling lights in the next room are fun, funky accents.†Images†1†|†2†|†3†|†4†|†5†|†6†|†7†|†8

I think I could totally do a deep peacock or navy wall. But the walls would have to be smooth and definitely shiny! We just don't have the architecture here to pull this off. Boo!
