Pampered Spring Cleaning
March 04, 2013
March is here and Spring is on its way. One of my favorite things to do this time of year is Spring cleaning. I actually really enjoy it....throwing out, organizing and deep cleaning everything (behind headboards and bookcases, above curtain valances...I even go through each and every one of my files and throw out papers that no longer need keeping). I love how my home smells so clean and fresh, and everything just looks perfectly in its place. So yes, Spring cleaning is a big deal around here and using the right products makes it all the more exciting for me.
I have rounded up some wonderfully attractive cleaning products without the harmful chemicals that could potentially make cleaning more of a civilized experience rather than an annoying chore. Pretty packaging and a natural ingredient list go a long way with me. This season I have been using Ava Anderson's products and I have to say I highly recommend them. They smell like heaven, clean wonderfully, are eco-friendly and have no harsh chemicals to boot. As I was researching for this post I was surprised to learn the company was founded in 2009 by a fourteen year old girl!
Can you spot my Ava hard surface cleaner in the photo below? Oh and also take note of my Stafforshire Doggies that I got from my husband on my birthday. I don't think I ever showed you how I styled them (this is how they look like for now anyway).

Do you do some Spring cleaning? What are your favorite products to use? What's your favorite brand?

There is definitely something about spring which makes me want to get organised too! These products are new to me - I like the nice packaging and no harsh chemicals too. I'm a fan of Method cleaners.

ReplyDeleteI have to admit that cleaning products like these just make me happy and I actually want to clean! I love Meyers Lavender but I am using Caldrea Yuzu Hibiscus right now and the fragrance is just heavenly. I would love to see you house btw, it looks like such a happy and colorful place:)
ReplyDeleteI love for the house to have a just cleaned smell. I use chlorox wipes on the counters alot and on my tile floor in the laundry room. Love to find new and great products through recommendations. Thanks for lighting a fire under me- I need a deep spring clean badly!

ReplyDeletei sure do - and it's ALLLLLLL lavender scented - buti'm NOT looking forward to "spring cleaning" - i need a full on RAIN filled weekedn ASAP to get it all done - otherwise i just wanna do anything BUT clean
ReplyDeleteI actually look forward to a good clean out once a year too. Usually right after the holidays, I start tackling rooms one by one- a good rainy day activity! As for products- I'm a Meyer's gal- "Basil" is my favorite scent in that line. We also used to have our house professionally cleaned once a month and I loved how it smelled. I spotted "Fabuloso" on the countertop one day and picked up an inexpensive bottle at Target. The "lavender" scent (purple bottle) is the best. I'm also a sucker for linen sprays and picked up a bottle in an orange blossom scent at Home Goods last week.
ReplyDeleteNew, good smelling cleaning products are so important! They're so motivating! I love anything Method or Meyer's.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! Thanks for stopping by and entering my giveaway!! I like Meyer's too, but will definitely check out Ava's site. Also, I like to use white vinegar and water with a couple drops of lavender oil to take away the vinegar smell.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day!
I love Mrs. Meyer's products. They smell amazing, and for some reason I feel so much better about using them!

I really need to go through everything I still have at my parents' house and get rid of as much as I can! I know they would certainly appreciate it.
