Food || Strawberry Shortcake
September 16, 2013
This is one of my favorite summer dessert recipes. It's easy, fresh, and pretty to look at. The best part is the homemade whipped cream and of course the friends you share it with. I also tried an amazing roasted mushroom recipe this weekend. You need to try it...so fabulous and so divine. It's going to become my go-to veggie side-dish from here through December, I can just tell. But, back to the strawberry cake
It's so moist and delicious. Ina Garten sure know her stuff. This is the strawberry cake recipe here. And if you are wondering about this fancy gathering. It was for my sweet bookclub friends. We were discussing the topic of beauty, which has given me plenty of food for thought, especially when it comes to this blog. What is beauty? Why is it necessary? I hope to dedicate some posts to this topic so stay tuned.
Good thing I still have one slice left of this. It's hard working on all these photos. Did you make any yummy things this weekend? Any recipes you'd like to share?

ReplyDeleteThis looks absolutely delish! I love all the rich chocolatey desserts in the colder months, but the fresh and light desserts of the warm season really are the best aren't they? Just enough to quench a sweet tooth. I'll have to give this one a shot before all the strawberries are pulled from the stores.
