Blue Walls
February 03, 2014
Hi, hi!!! I sure missed you, the internet and everyone really!! We have been in our own little bubble since our move earlier this week. Our new home is so well insulated we don't even have cell phone coverage inside the house. We just got Internet up and running so I promise to Instagram some shots soon. Boxes and mess aside I wanted to join in The Pink Pagoda's Blue and White Bash today and since we painted our living room walls a dark blue I thought it would be a great idea to round-up some fabulous blue wall inspiration. I'm using all my old furniture but will need to reupholster a few pieces so I need all the inspiration I can get. I do have the monochromatic theme in my head....or do I go bold with contrast.....
What do you think? Monochromatic? or Contrast? How have you all been? Do tell!!

I love it! Especially the first one with the huge pop of yellow art piece. Im in the process of moving and we are painting an accent wall deep blue (almost black) and I have been trying to think of what would look good hanging up against it!
ReplyDeleteYou are definitely the kink of girl to rock the blue high gloss walls and probably monochromatic. I am a contrast kinda gal. Hope the move went well.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my dream colors, and that second interior is my dream interior, the glossy walls and the sofa in the same shade are just a stunning pair. I cannot wait to see your home!!! Should I start a countdown?!
ReplyDeleteEl azul es un color que queda impactante Albertina!, adore esas lindas imágenes

ReplyDeleteI am a sucker for deep blue walls and recently used it in my son's room. I love your inspiration shots.
ReplyDeleteAhh I can't wait to see your blue walls! I can't wait to one day have a study that I paint dark blue.
ReplyDeleteI think the look of blue walls is super cool–especially in a deep, glossy navy!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty shots! I love high contrast. Can't wait to see what you've done to your new digs. Cheers to having survived another move!

so beautiful! The walls in my office are dark blue and i was just about to wallpaper in a lighter blue grass cloth... may have to rethink that... hmm....
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your new house! Hope the move went well. xx
So glad you are all moved in! I can't wait to see your living room. I'm thinking the high contrast will look fab.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving monochromatic at the moment...and those blue walls are to die for!!!
ReplyDeleteThey are always so gorgeous and dramatic...just love the lacquered walls!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a tough decision! I loooove monochromatic I think it's so chic but then I also love the combo of blue, yellow, black and gold and also the contrast of a stark white with blue.
ReplyDeleteI know whatever you decide will be fabulous! Can't wait to see!

These rooms are all stunning! Glad the move went well...can't wait to hear more about your new house! Have a fabulous week, Albertina! xoxo
ReplyDeleteYes!! I can't get enough navy lately. We just finished painting our home office navy this weekend and I love it! I have to say I'm a big fan of the contrast. Our trim is white, so it really pops against the dark walls. We're planning to put a big oak desk and lots of leather to keep it masculine.
ReplyDeleteI love dark blue walls! I really wanted to do that in our living room but it won't work in there right now. can't wait to see your space!

ReplyDeleteI love dark blue walls and for me contrast is the best!
We used to have a dark blue statement wall and I wish we had had more white/light furniture/etc. for contrast. I love the idea of a white/cream couch in front of a dark blue wall! Can't wait to see what you do with the new place!
ReplyDeleteThe monocromatics above look good, but white with blue can't be beat.
