Mentally Packing for our Spring Break Vacation
March 06, 2014
The good news about really cold weather is that there will be less mosquitoes in the summer and Dallas would benefit from this after being a terrible West Nile Virus breeding ground for the last few years. It has been a problem. It's freezing here, so I'm so excited we get to go somewhere warm and toasty in a few days. We will have both beach and city to pack for but my goal is for all of us to take just one carry-on. Let's see how that pans out.
I know I have blogged about those sunnies before but everyone that I run into falls in love with them. I'm not exaggerating. So, of course they made the cut. I'm also really excited about finally getting to read The Goldfinch. I have heard so many great things about it. I wanted to read it when I actually had time because I heard you can't put it down. Yeay for leisurely reads. A beach vacay calls for a wide-brimmed hat. Always! and the most perfect beach tote from LL Bean- a classic, of course. I adored the pastel colors of the necklace and figured something like that would look beautiful with a very simple dress. It really is such a perfect adornment. The white lace top is just so fresh and delicate. It would look amazing with some tanned skin. And the suit? Well, Mara Hoffman can do no wrong with her amazing color combinations and patterns. And I think some sandals like these would be ideal because they would match with everything in your bag.
Are you escaping the cold this season at all? Do tell?

ReplyDeleteHubby and I are planning a spring get-away to Dallas in March. I doubt we'll be able to pack the summer clothes you feature in your blog, but I'm just looking forwards to a break somewhere fresh, with a nice hotel, great food and lots of sightseeing. Like you, I hate mosquitoes, so your prediction for less of them is good.
