The Magic of Children's Parties
April 21, 2014
Children's parties for me are magical. I enjoy attending them with my little one. I love planning and executing little Miss A's small parties as well. I think I have the same amount of fun orchestrating the event as the kids attending it. They are an opportunity to bring fantasy to life. I think this is why I really enjoy seeing the fantasies that other people create for their kids. I
was fortunate enough to be invited to a sweet birthday a few weeks ago with every last detail planned and fussed over. When I asked who was to thank for
this beautiful experience it was Shana from Pomp Party- children's
parties planner extraordinaire. If you live in the Dallas area you need
to know about her. Her ideas and attention to detail really turn a
well-known fairy tail into a new and exciting adventure. Her portfolio is amazing. See more of her parties here.
And this mermaid and pirate party was so cute.
She says Etsy is a favorite of hers to find vendors to create unique things for the parties. And that pretty mermaid Birthday cake is from my friend Paola at Unique Party. Even though little Miss A's birthday is not until August I started brainstorming ideas already and Andrea was kind of enough to be a sounding board. If you know her and her stylish blog you know its going to incorporate a flamingo or two. She gave me wonderful ideas I hope to share with you soon. I love doing small parties (6-10 kids) and really putting effort into
the details and creating a perfect few hours. I also love using themes
that are different. Last year we did a Kokeshi Doll Party, and the year before that an Under the water theme.
But back to these beautiful parties Shana has produced. They are truly remarkable and unforgettable. I really enjoy these whimsical and creative parties. What are some fun and different themes of kid parties you have been to?

ReplyDeleteI never thought of Etsy for that, what a smart idea. She really does create amazing parties! I want to go to one. :)
ReplyDeleteMagical, indeed!!! I miss the days of planning whimsical parties for my children. Our big celebration this year is the big TWENTY ONE for my youngest. I can't wait to see what you do for Miss A's party!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week, Albertina! xoxo
Adorable….every single photo!! I have loved hosting special parties for my 2 young boys…though the oldest is now 12, so that calls for a different kind of party. Creating magical, memorable moments for children's birthdays is one of life's great parenting joys!
ReplyDeleteDarling blog!!!

ReplyDeleteIsn’t That Charming.
Wonderful! Smaller parties allow for more details so you aren't over whelmed with too many people. I love Etsy for party supplies, the only issue I have is filtering the good from the bad. If you have any suggestions let me know! Hope you had a great Easter:)

ReplyDeleteThis is all so creative and I agree with you that organising a themed party can be as much fun as the party itself is for the children.

What a fun party! Every detail is so adorable, I'm especially loving that cake! Are those fish as party favors I see? Oh geeze my mom would have loved that! Lol, she was never much of a pet person, which is why I want a million!
