On My Mind || Festivities and the prettiest bathroom you ever did see

November 21, 2013

So many pretty things on my mind lately! And how could they not with Thanksgiving a week away and the Christmas just around the corner.  This is without a doubt my favorite time of the year filled with colorful, sparkly, delicious, and festive things.  With friends coming from out of town to celebrate Thanksgiving with us I am currently thinking of the tablescape and what dishes I will prepare.  My mom and I divide and conquer.  I think (not 100% sure yet) I will be making the best butternut squash dish you have ever tried (I'm addicted to it and make it once a week) , some french style mushrooms, and Gruyere cheese popovers.  And a sweet friend just sent me the best tart recipe on the mail I might just have to add it for dessert as well.  I better add DIET to my to do list for the next few days!

The earrings are romantic and elegant and big enough to make a statement.  The black and white splatter full-skirt is to die for.  The ice bucket is modern and packs a punch with those red handles.  The table is just pure beauty.  The glasses are fun and I bet champagne tastes more delicious if you drink out of those.  The bathroom. FULL STOP.  This is what I think heaven must be like.  That marble is stunning and just gives me heart palpitations. These booties by Alexandre Birman (whom I told you to keep an eye out for here) are K-I-L-L-E-R. Love all the scallops. And the cuff- we all need a good cuff.

I'm going to start working on gift guides for the next week.  Let me know if you want a specific type of gift guide.  I'm thinking I will have one for- the little ones, men, stocking stuffers, home, and the fashionista, oooh and maybe one for teacher gifts.  I remember a couple of you wanted some ideas last year.

Happy almost Friday day!!
