London Calling- Apartments for rent

October 24, 2012

Now that I have a little Miss A. traveling has changed. It is no longer a spur of the moment pick-up and go adventure.  Traveling now requires more planning in every sense of the word from packing, to logistics, to finding out about kid-friendly activities to even downloading the right amount of new Pepa The Pig episodes. And with a little one we realize that something as simple as having a kitchen can make all the difference in the world for a happy family trip.  This way you can save on breakfasts and maybe even some lunches and dinners as you can keep some basic items around. Not all kiddos appreciate the culinary masterpieces in different cities and would opt for pasta and chicken tenders in a heartbeat.  Not only is having a kitchen easier on the wallet it is sometimes easier around the belly as you don't have to eat out during every meal.  Anyway, I'm loving all these websites that rent apartments in fabulous cities like London.

I was daydreaming of visiting my good friends in London next summer and One Fine Stay had some great options in apartments right in the center of the city.  Like this one!  It would be so neat to live like a local (this is actually their little slogan).  How fun would it be to stay in this modern, spacious, and so nicely put-together apartment?
Not bad right?  This apartment specifically would never be in my budget but they have some great finds for competitive prices. If you go with other friends you can split the costs and save on room and board.

Another website offering apartment rentals that I have come across is Airbnb, which has apartments in 192 countries. VRBO also offers rentals worldwide.  The nice thing about these websites is that they offer many different price points with pretty good photographs and reviews so you make an informed opinion.  So, bookmark this post friends so when you plan a trip in the near future you can refer to these websites and see what cute apartments await you.

Have you ever rented from the internet before?  Would you rather rent an apartment or go to a hotel?

  4. These are all stunning, now with Matthew, I always try to find an apartment type of room, that's what we did while in NZ recently for the nights we spent in Christchurch and it worked so well! Definitely the best way to go when you have little ones ;)

  6. Such beautiful rentals! Plenty of renters out there would definitely love these apartments. Although expensive, renters can opt to make their homes as stylish as this one too with a bit of creativity.

  8. I love the idea of renting. When I stay in a hotel I sometimes feel like I can't relax without just eating breakfast or snacks without going out. I haven't done it but want to try!

We are doing this exact thing in March when we go to Hawaii. My whole family is going so it just made sense.
