A Lighting Studio || Roll and Hill
May 19, 2014
I learned about Roll and Hill, a lighting studio based in Brooklyn, this weekend and just fell in love with their pieces. If you have been reading this blog for a while you know lighting is one of my favorite things ( as evidenced here, here, here and here to name a few). I even made my own chandelier this one time and my husband made several lamps. With this lighting obsession you can imagine how excited I was to learn about Roll & Hill and how they collaborate with
current independent designers to create a unique collection of lighting pieces. Their pieces are basically made-to-order so they are able to customize each piece to meet their client's needs. They are stunning.
Are you as impressed as I am? Can you imagine a couple of those candelabra as a dining table centerpiece? Do you have a favorite? Or are these too modern for your taste?

ooo my favorite is the candelabra! so pretty - I agree it would look great as a centerpiece with a couple stacked up!
ReplyDeleteOh my! This is out Of this world stunning
ReplyDeleteOh these are fantastic! I'm going to need one. esp that candelabra!
ReplyDeleteThose are so cool! I love them all :)
ReplyDeleteI'm always drawn to beautiful lighting as it can make such a difference to any room. I would rather wait until I find the perfect light fitting to suit the décor of the room. These are all fabulous and so unusual. The seventh one is my particular favourite - a modern take on a traditional chandelier.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, yes. So glam.
ReplyDeleteseriously seriously makes me weak in the knees. soooooooooooo good!
ReplyDeleteTotally beautiful. But my heart (and mouth!) dropped when I saw the price tag on the second photo down--the Agnes Chandelier--is $16,000. I am not afraid of buying beautiful well made pieces for my home. I would even consider spending that on artwork or diamonds. But I would NEVER spend that on a light fixture. For one thing, I think lighting is a lovely way to evolve the style of a room over time. For another, my conscience would never allow me to enjoy it fully.
ReplyDeleteOh my loveliness!!!! Lighting perfection!

ReplyDeleteLighting is one of my favorite design elements as well. I ADORE Roll and Hill.......not the prices so much :-/

I am not one for abstract lighting myself, but I love seeing these creations as art -- and thinking about how light itself can change up a space! These are really creative!
