My New Sconces

September 05, 2014

We all miss the swan pinata.  She looked so lovely in our entry hall. Since we don't have art work yet for this large wall I felt like she filled the gap rather gracefully, no?  But what I really wanted to show you were my vintage french sconces.  They just went up recently and I'm in love.  I bought them from Jamie Herzlinger's fabulously curated lighting selection. She was so wonderful and helpful as are the lovely ladies I spoke to during the purchase as I had questions about the wiring and everything.  Now I just need to save up for a beautiful work of art to fill that wall.  It has to be special and magnificent because it is the first thing you see when you come into my home.  This is a lot of pressure, so I think it will take me a while to figure this one out. In the meantime I'm throughly enjoying my beautiful sconces.  They are an investment I am very proud of.  Here are a few links for you:

||  Did you catch the latest issue of Rue Magazine? My dear friend Jesse from The Design Daredevil was included in their "Top 7 designers to watch in 2015". This is so well-deserved....take a look at the article so you can see her beautiful home.

||  I saw these cute postcard notes in The Little Green Notebook. Who else needs them urgently?

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Rest well.
