Just a few Things

January 09, 2015

It has been so cold here in Dallas but I'm actually really enjoying it as the days are sunny and beautiful.  I hope its not too cold where you are. I wanted to leave you this weekend with a few links to pass the time-

1 || The sweet and fabulous Sarah Sarna interviewed me on her blog yesterday.  Come and read the interview and you might or might not find out a couple of secrets about me.  Sarah's blog is inspirational and always offers the best eye candy- from fabulous interiors, to beauty secrets and fashions trends.  I'm honored to be featured. Thanks Sarah!

2 ||  Class Pass.  What can I say?!  I'm loving it.  Trust me. Sign up if it exists in your city.   Basically, you pay $99/month and this includes unlimited classes at all their partner studios. The only catch you can only go up to 3 classes of a specific studio.  But they have so many studio partners I have never seen this as a problem.  On the contrary, it keeps my workout varied and exciting. I love the idea of having access to different studios and different kinds of exercises.  You can do barre one day, then Pilates the next and yoga after that.  If you are like me and need excitement and variety this is perfect. Sign up here. oohh...and they have a dandy app that makes it so easy to book a class that you will want to go everyday!

3 || Kyocera Ceramic Knives.  These knives are amazing.  They are made in Japan with state of the art ceramic that holds a razor sharp edge much longer than steel.  They are light weight and just cuts beautifully.  Plus they come in all sorts of pretty colors.

4 ||  Anna Karlin's brass chess stools.  Aren't these spectacular? I gasped out loud when I saw them on instagram.  They are in this beautiful LA home which was featured in Architectural Digest.  Anna Karlin, the artist, is extremely talented and designs a wide range of products- from stemware, to textiles, to furniture and sculptures.  Check out her website I'm sure this will not be the last time you hear her name.

5 ||  Lilly Pulitzer x Target.  This is a collaboration I'm thrilled about.  Truly. I just love Lilly's legendary prints and color combinations.  I'm most excited about the table top items which will be exactly perfect for Spring outdoor dinner parties and within budget!  And I'm sure the clothing will be pretty chic as well. It all starts on April 19!! To see more go here.

And in my web browsing I have come across some fabulous little treasures I thought I would share with you in case you wanted to do a little of online browsing or shopping.  This Ina Garten Make It Ahead Cookbook is just perfect for entertaining- prepare everything beforehand and just pop it in the oven when guests arrive. It let's you shine as a hostess for sure.  There is a Pedro Friedeberg chair for sale on OKL!  So exciting....but expensive. I sure wish I had $12K burning a hole in my pocket. This console would be so cute in a boys room.  These glasses with gold accents are ideal for your bar cart.

Also a huge, huge thank you to Design Chic and The Decorista for featuring my One Room Challenge Closet! Organization is a hot topic in January!

Have a wonderful weekend. xx

  1. Looks like I finally need to move to NYC because there's no Class Pass here! I need that Ina Garten cookbook too! I'm very intrigued about the Lilly + Target collab. I haven't been very impressed with the other collaborations they've done. I think the accessories will be where it's at. Have a great weekend!!!

  4. I've been doing ClassPass for a few months now and I LOVE it! I've tried out so many new studios and have gotten in a routine where I have so many studios that I really enjoy that it's no problem only doing 3 classes at each a month.

  7. LOVE it all, but especially the idea of the Class Pass - too bad they don't have anything in Connecticut yet. And, the knives look like something I definitely need in my kitchen. I love your closet - I remember seeing on the ORC but it really struck me in this post - just gorgeous! Have a lovely weekend, Albertina! xoxo
