Sam Loves || Jewel Tones [ Valentine's Day Edition ]
February 11, 2014
For the new year Sam and I are bringing you a new look for the "We Love Series" So exciting! In Honor of Valentine's Day coming up we created a jewel tone inspiration for you. Here was the last post in the series in case you missed it. To refresh your memory Sam from The Peak of Tres Chic and I
will be gathering inspiration under a certain theme a
couple of times a month and sharing it with you. Sam will guest post here in my blog and I will post at Sam's.
I guess you could say we are swapping for the day. Since I painted my living room walls a dark blue I'm just really digging this part of the color wheel- the purples and pinks along with it. Here is Sam-
Hi lovers! Sam
here, back to kickstart another fabulous year of the "We Love" series
with Albertina. With Valentine's Day 3 days away, we felt it was the
perfect time to share our favorite jewel-toned outfit and interior
inspiration. Being Texas girls, we are already thinking about spring
weather and how to transition from the cold winter months in to warmer
temperatures. I love the idea of pairing a loose fitting blouse with a
graphic skirt + heels. Jewel tones also translate well in decor. They
can often create an elegant aesthetic when paired together:
I have my eye on the Winston Worlds Away gold leaf coffee table. I love the shape and how it mirrors a Greek key. I also love the blush velvet pillow from Arianna Belle.
I also love the cut of the Band of Outsiders Cobalt top. The punchy color is a perfect alternative to the red + pink we typically see for Valentines Day.
What is your take on these jewel tones? Whatever you have planned for Friday- whether a romantic dinner out or a movie night with girlfriends, I hope you enjoy it!
