Just some fun interior design images as a weekend send-off. I love a space that combines a few of my favorite things- leopard, malachite, chinoiserie, black subway tile and bold wallpaper, and pedestals.

I just ordered two monogrammed European shams for our bed. We have a King sized bed so it was a hard choice whether to get two or three. I actually don't love many pillows on my bed, so decided to start out with two. The Zhush has wonderful monogrammed items and their throw pillows and pillow covers are especially beautiful. They are the best ones I have seen with the monogram that is reminiscent of the famous Leontine Linen monograms except without their prices- they are perfect for my budget right now.
Since Spring Break is around the corner for us and we will be going to warmer climates I have begun to see what outfits to bring along. Last summer I got this dress from ASOS (second from the left) and have yet to wear it. So it will come on this trip for sure. Isn't it cute, beachy, and feminine yet elegant all in one? I started browsing to see what other inexpensive cute things I could find and then fell in love with this skirt (they only have a few sizes left!). And what a skirt it is! Since black and white are my go-to travel colors I picked out my favorite pieces for you. Oh and I think most everything is under $75.

The early bird catches the worm! Congrats to Elizabeth from the Little Black Door for winning the JewelMint Giveaway. She was the first to comment that day!
What is black and white and REaD all over? This cute outfit of course! (although if you answered 'newspaper' you are also correct). I'm starting to take a look at the Spring collections and my closet needs for warmer weather. I'm adoring these cute black, white and red finds that go so perfectly together. I mean- the earrings! Tassel perfection.
If you are a blogger you have probably seen Christine Dovey's home on blogland everywhere. But for my non-blogger readers I had to make sure you knew about it. Christine is such amazing designer and I can tell she is just warming up. Hers is a world of black, white, pink and gold and after you see these photos you will start thinking in this color palette as well because she makes it so alluring.
Do you know that faux layers are in? Basically it's when it looks like you have two pieces, say a shirt peeking below a sweater, but in reality you only have one. Such a fun and layed-back look without the bulk. Instead you get sleeker and chicer layering. Here are some great options-

Just some fun finds to cheer you all up. I have been so busy moving furniture around and unpacking that I needed a break from anything having to do with the home. So here you have my mental escape into the world of fashion. Clothes and accessories feel like a breath of fresh air this morning. Except for the tray. It was too good not to post. I really love how lively and tropical it is- perfect to bring out drinks to the terrace.
I'm so excited to bring you this fabulous JewelMint giveaway! All of JewelMint's pieces are on-trend, chic, and at such wonderful price-points. I have that first bejeweled cuff up there and adore it. I have gotten so many compliments. One lucky reader will win one piece of JewelMint of their choice. Hurray!! And it is so easy to enter.
I first was introduced to Veronica Beard through her and her sister-in-law's clothing line (I own one of their super clever blazers). Then, I came across her bold and colorful apartment designed by family friend Thomas Britt and just fell in love with the turquoise walls. I love a girl who chooses to live in a home with a turquoise kitchen, dining room and living room.
Do you know what I'm daydreaming about? Making furniture. Lately, I have been thinking about how cool it would be to take wood shop and/or metal welding classes to design and actually build your own furniture. I loved Naomi's coffee table (above) which she made for the for the last One Room Challenge. I came across this store that sells these beautiful hairpin legs which are the perfect height for a coffee table. This is another great source. I love this mid-century modern look. Anyone up for a hairpin table DIY? I bet it would be 100% satisfying. I mean to build your own coffee table? Here are some sources I found for you-
Wishing you a sweet and perfect Valentine's. What fun plans do you have for tonight? We are staying in and for dessert I'm making an easy and delicious flourless chocolate tart. I make it every year, you'll remember it from last Valentine's.

I won't even try to concoct a story as to how these articles relate to each other. They don't! But I needed to share these with you anyhow. So, please forgive the randomness. Ready?
Do you remember last week I posted a beautiful room by designer Jamie Herzlinger and I professed to you all my particular love for those swans on the table? Well, I found out more and it turns out Jamie is selling them in her brand new showroom in the NY Design Center. You can get some for yourself here. (but you must leave two for me, mmmkey?) I have a perfect spot for them in my office where two swans would look exactly right. I would love to hang out with them while I work. And here they are in the showroom- sitting pretty, pretty.
For the new year Sam and I are bringing you a new look for the "We Love Series" So exciting! In Honor of Valentine's Day coming up we created a jewel tone inspiration for you. Here was the last post in the series in case you missed it. To refresh your memory Sam from The Peak of Tres Chic and I
will be gathering inspiration under a certain theme a
couple of times a month and sharing it with you. Sam will guest post here in my blog and I will post at Sam's.
I guess you could say we are swapping for the day. Since I painted my living room walls a dark blue I'm just really digging this part of the color wheel- the purples and pinks along with it. Here is Sam-

I have not had a bathtub in my bathroom for eight years and now that I do I am making up for lost time. What a treat to be able to take baths again continuously. It has become a quite the ritual around here after the long days. There is nothing better than soaking. Aside from blogging and yoga, soaking has become my new therapy.
You know how I know it's a bad winter? It snowed in Dallas yesterday! Can you imagine! There were accidents everywhere, appointments were canceled, school let out early and it barely snowed half an inch. I know the Northerners would have thought it was the funniest thing ever. Well, because I know we all have sunshine in our minds I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce you to a brand I have been coveting for a while, Sail to Sable. They have the cutest tunics and dresses in glorious and happy fabrics with delightful color combinations (of course pink and green are included!). I bought my first tunic ever about 10 years ago in a collaboration between Tory Burch and Scoop and have loved them ever since. I'm especially coveting Sail to Sable's tunic dress ( I love this style) which I think is ideal for any beach vacation because you can use it over your bathing suit as a coverup and later on as a dress for dinner (minimizing packing requirements leaving more room for souvenirs). They are perfect even for running around and running errands. I love the chic and preppy look.
How can I be thinking about swans and sunglasses when I have a million packed boxes begging to be opened? Easy, I need an escape or I will go cuckoo so I start to daydream of such pretty things. This dining room is by designer Jamie Herzlinger who is such an amazing designer. I love the chairs and the table but the swans really made it for me. I need a collection of these STAT. And how clever to put them in a grouping as a centerpiece. Genius. See more of her latest published project here. And I promise to get to the bottom of those swans. And yes, these sunglasses gave me heart palpitations when I saw them and they are from one of my favorite eyeglass brands Warby Parker. I got my first pair a couple of years ago and have never looked back. Did you know for every pair of glasses they sell, they give another pair to someone in need? I feel so philanthropic just thinking about them. And I love that their price points are really good so you can afford to have different glasses to go with different outfits or "looks".

Hi, hi!!! I sure missed you, the internet and everyone really!! We have been in our own little bubble since our move earlier this week. Our new home is so well insulated we don't even have cell phone coverage inside the house. We just got Internet up and running so I promise to Instagram some shots soon. Boxes and mess aside I wanted to join in The Pink Pagoda's Blue and White Bash today and since we painted our living room walls a dark blue I thought it would be a great idea to round-up some fabulous blue wall inspiration. I'm using all my old furniture but will need to reupholster a few pieces so I need all the inspiration I can get. I do have the monochromatic theme in my head....or do I go bold with contrast.....
